 
Anna Spinaci
    She holds a degree in Geological Sciences from the University “Carlo Bo” 
    of Urbino (1986) and a M.Sc. in GIS and Remote Sensing from the Urban Planning 
    Dpt. at IUAV, Venice (2002). She also attended specialization courses in applied 
    marine geophysics and geology, land use and protection, groundwater management. 
    Since 1986, she has been working as a freelance in the fields of applied geology, 
    land use, risk analysis, quarries exploitation and applied petrography. Since 
    2000 she has been actively operating in the field of database architecture, 
    GIS and Spatial Decision Support Systems design and development in both environmental 
    and socio-economic fields, further to her role of parliament deputy assistant.Instructor 
    of the  Introductory 
    course on GIScience and  
    A hands-on introduction to databases and geodatabases 
    since its first edition of 2003, she strongly contributed to the development 
    of the project.
