Marco Foi

Degree in Geological Sciences (University of Studies of Milano), currently completing a PhD on methodologies for digital acquisition of geological field data aimed at subsurface 3D modeling (University of Urbino). Field geologist with specialization in carbonatic rocks. Since 2004, full-time employed as IT Engineer at the GIS Laboratory of the Geological Dpt. of the University of Milano. Cerificated as "GIS Examiner" by AICA in 2008. Main interests in design and development of geographic databases supporting scientific data analysis and geographic data dissemination through WebGIS solutions. Programmer in PHP, Mapscript, Javascript and CSS for Web solutions, Avenue and VBA/ArcObjects for ESRI ArcGIS desktop, expert in design and development of field data acquisition software (VBS ArcPad customization and Java solutions for Android devices).
